Early Spring Birding

One of my favorite things to do early in the morning is head to the forest to find and photograph some birds.  The spring is the best time of the year to do this.  Many of the migratory species begin their trip here, and the lack of leaves makes them easier to spot.

Today I managed to spot a warbler (not sure on the exact species), various ducks, a nuthatch, a few woodpeckers, and a flock chickadees.  Being so warm this year the birds have been coming early, and it may have hit a few people off gaurd.

Here are a couple of my favorite shots from the day.

Enjoy.
